Dock Levelers and Vehicle Restraints
Typical failures for Dock Levelers are pivots, rear hinges, cracked lip spools, cam bearings (where applicable), ceasing parts from lack of maintenance such as cleaning and oiling of moving parts. Other common failures (where applicable) are failing hydraulic hoses, dirty oil or filter in the pump, or rusting of the sub frame from lack of pit cleaning which could lead to structural damage.
Pacific Dock & Doors’ Planned Maintenance Program consists of a thorough visual inspection of key components of your equipment, lubrication of all necessary components, cleaning the pit, and top up of oil as required. Also included with this Planned Maintenance Program is a written report which outlines the overall condition of your equipment including but not limited to:
- Professional assessment of the physical condition of the equipment and components
- Health and Safety recommendations and product information
- Recommendations for Service, Repairs or replacement of equipment
The above service also relates to Vehicle Restraints. Each piece of equipment has its own individualized report which is tagged with your individual numbering/identification system. This would allow us, the service provider, or the customer to maintain an accurate record of repair and service for each individual component.
